The Forum on the History of Physics, a member unit of the American Physical Society, was founded in 1980 to bring together physicists, historians, and other members of APS with an interest in the history of their subject and the impact of that history on culture, education, and physics research itself. The Forum issues a semiannual Newsletter and sponsors sessions at the March and April APS meetings.

All APS members may join two Fora free of charge (with a small fee for additional Fora). If you are an APS member, and you are not a member of the Forum on the History of Physics, you can join the Forum now.

Questions and comments about the Newsletter may be addressed to the Newsletter editor, Michael Riordan, mriordan@ucsc.edu. Other questions and comments may be addressed to the Forum's Secretary-Treasurer, Thomas M. Miller, thomas.miller@hanscom.af.mil, or the Chair, Virginia Trimble, vtrimble@astro.umd.edu.
