We do not have a family leave policy for graduate students.

We require students to carry health insurance and do cover a portion of the cost for it. Departments work with students on a case by case basis to accommodate them in case of family or medical needs.

Please describe why someone applying to graduate school who is interested in a female-friendly department should choose your department.
We are a small department, and our students are a close community. There are many activities the students initiate (games night, SPS picnic, soccer, volley ball) and in some of these faculty participate as well. The department is very supportive of our students.
Please include the name of faculty or staff member and an email they can be reached at for further questions.
