Please describe why someone applying to graduate school who is interested in a female-friendly department should choose your department.
We have a good fraction of female grad (and undergrad, by the way) students. We have six female faculty out of 29, rising to at least 7 out of 31 next fall, well above the national average for PhD granting physics institutions. UNM has an NSF ADVANCE 5 year program to promote women and minority STEM faculty.
Please include the name of faculty or staff member and an email they can be reached at for further questions.
