Please describe why someone applying to graduate school who is interested in a female-friendly department should choose your department.
Recently, our department was named in a report from the American Institute of Physics for our high percentage (30-40%) of female PhD graduates from the years 2013-2017. Our program was also recognized by the APS among US PhD-granting departments for our high percentage (50%) of female graduates: placing second nationally at the undergraduate level and third at the graduate level (APS data for the period 2011-2013).
